The newly discovered tiny one.
Here’s a macro shot of a fascinating critter – a newly discovered and yet to be described species of lacebug, measuring just 2mm long (or about 1/16th of an inch). The intricate details are incredible for such a tiny insect. Check the photo in the comments that shows part of my finger, which gives an indication of its size when compared to my fingerprint. This is a case where my enthusiasm for tiny critters is inversely proportional to their size! Taken in the Cairns Botanic Gardens, Queensland, Australia— cu Herman Moller.
